Lead Instructor

Our Lead Instructor, Craig, began teaching at Bullseye Shooting Range in 2002 after recognizing a need for quality firearms instruction in the Wichita area. His decision to become an instructor was further solidified by a local incident involving a woman who was being stalked by her ex-boyfriend, a violent felon. That experience reinforced his belief that law-abiding citizens should have both the right and the ability to protect themselves and their loved ones.
Raised by a father who served as a police officer, Craig developed an appreciation for personal responsibility and self-defense at an early age. He is deeply passionate about the Second Amendment and believes that safe, knowledgeable firearms ownership empowers individuals to take an active role in their own protection. His goal has always been to pass that knowledge on through practical, responsible instruction focused on safety, confidence, and lawful defensive firearm use.
During his time with Bullseye, Craig has earned NRA certifications as a Home Firearm Safety Instructor, Personal Protection Inside the Home Instructor, Personal Protection Outside the Home Instructor, Refuse To Be A Victim® Instructor, and Range Safety Officer. He also served as an instructor for Wichita State University’s Alternative Sports Program Marksmanship Course.
Craig is one of the longest-serving Kansas Concealed Carry instructors in the state, having taught his first class on July 2, 2006, and has since instructed more than 2,500 students. From 2003 to 2017, he also served as an Assistant Instructor with Vector Tactical Systems, where he received certifications on the HK MP5, UZI, AK-platform, and AR-15 weapon systems.
In addition to his instructional background, Craig has continued to develop his skills through advanced handgun training with nationally recognized firearms schools, including Handgun Combatives and Langdon Tactical Concepts. With more than two decades of teaching experience, he remains committed to helping students of all experience levels become safer, more capable, and more confident firearm owners.
